In Hong Kong, at the VLSI-SOC 2011

Ahh, the “typhoon” is at a mere 3 on their scale. So, it wasn’t that bad – except for the concept of being awake some 32 hours in a stretch.

The flight was an hour late, so I missed the opening speech. Further on, propagating through Hong Kong a Monday morning seems to be a bit of a challenge in itself.

The analog session I attended today was interesting. Jerzy Dabrowski gave really good background material in a lecture on his on-chip, BIST IP3 “generator”. There were also two lectures about regulators of different kinds. In the poster session a couple of papers on optimization and modeling of circuit – a topic that I really like.
