CAD: Freeware 2

Joacim Frisk and I met up to further polish our plans to initiate yet another freeware tool for CAD layout and circuit design. There are so many tools out there that are very potent. However there is some glue missing.

One of our suggestions is to for example use electric VLSI as an interface and from that generate for example pyCell code such that we can generate an open access database which can be read by a large number of vendors. There are some different licenses that need to be taken into consideration before hacking away.

But there are many other ways too.

Anyone else interested? Hopefully we can set up a google code area to support this.
