CAD:Get the Transistor Region

If you use the daisy flow, you are able to get the transistor regions from the simulation results by pressing control + 3.

You would do the following:

  • Run a DC simulation and save the operating point.
  • Mark all or the selected transistors you want to investigate in your schematics.
  • Press control + 3 and you will get a pop-up window illustrating their operation region.

Handy, isn’t it?

  1. In case you are using the AMS flow, this is yet to be implemented. The problem is that AMS requires a special command to startup, and unfortunately the daisy flow currently does not handle this. Hope to update it soon.
